Holden Man Killed in Johnson County Accident
A Holden man was killed in a Johnson County Accident on MO 131 around 6:35 p.m. on September 11.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a southbound 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse attempted to pass another vehicle, when it crossed the center line and struck the front of a northbound 2005 Mitsubishi Montero. The Eclipse caught fire after leaving the roadway. The driver, 39-year-old Louis Orr, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner.
The driver of the Montero, 27-year-old Tiffany Hovis of Wichita, KS, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Luke's Hosptial in Kansas City for treatment.
