A Holden man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday evening in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2001 GMC Yukon, driven by 22-year-old Vincent J.  Anderson of Holden, was on Route Z, north of Route HH around 6:15 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Anderson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by SNI Valley EMS for treatment.

The GMC was totaled and towed by Jackson County Tow.

Anderson was later arrested by the Patrol at 6:49 p.m. and taken to the Lafayette County Jail in Lexington. He was suspected of driving while intoxicated, no seat belt, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was booked and released.
