Here’s Another Weekend Road Trip Idea This Fall
I've had quite a few of these ideas recently! There are quite a lot of fun little weekend trips you can take this fall.
After all, you want to get out of dodge, but you don't want to have to take too much time off work, or have to spend a ton of money to do so. And so often, road trips can be a bit of bother. The typical road trip lasts just under four hours, covers 150 miles, features FOUR people who play two travel games, and who, on average, hear FOUR cries of "Are we there yet?"
But the goal of getting to the place, that's the silver lining. Well, at least you'll be ready when you head to this fun one just outside of St. Louis, at Robertsville State Park.
So, what is it? Here goes!
Robertsville State Park’s first Fall Festival. From 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, enjoy live music, food, arts and crafts, games and prizes for kids, community booths, blacksmith and outdoor cooking demonstrations and more at this public event.
Cooking demonstrations will definitely solve a problem on the road trip drive home. On the average usually on a road trip, a total of SIX snacks are consumed, with the most popular being sandwiches, chips , and sweet stuff. But having your own food to take back from the party? Priceless.
Speaking of priceless, the entertainment looks fun as well! They mentioned music, and I saw on their social media that the band in question is Dusty James and Abalone Pearl.
So you've got a couple weeks to plan and get the family down to a different park! Robertsville State Park is located eight miles east of I-44 on Route O, near Robertsville.
