A Marshall man riding a Harley was injured Friday night just before 11 p.m. in Pettis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Bryan K. Slaughter of Marshall was eastbound on Route BB, one-quarter mile east of Longwood Road on a 2002 Harley Davidson at 10:56 p.m., when a vehicle in front of him applied its brakes, and Slaughter traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and came to rest on the north side of the roadway.

Slaughter suffered moderate injuries, and refused treatment at the scene.

The Harley was towed by private means.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol.

Slaughter was later arrested by the Patrol at 12:09 a.m. Saturday and charged with DWI prior offender, and driving a motorcycle without a valid license.

He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
