On the afternoon of November 14th, Deputies took a report of an Escape or Attempted Escape from Confinement by striking a person. Assault in the 2nd Degree - Special Victim, and Disarming a Peace Officer or Correctional Officer while they are performing Official Duties.

Charges are also being sought against Amber Green. Green will be placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges from the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.

According to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, Green was being booked into the Pettis County Jail when she attempted to flee. Green took a pepper spray from the Correctional Officer and attempted to flee. After a quick scuffle, Green was soon apprehended.

Meanwhile, the Sedalia Police Department reported the incident that led to Green's arrest earlier that day. Officers were dispatched to the area of West 5th and South Grand Avenue for a report of a female trying to get inside of a vehicle.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect. It was determined she did not own the vehicle she was attempting to gain access to. The suspect gave false identifying information and attempted to flee on foot from Officers.

The suspect was caught after a short foot pursuit and arrested. The suspect was identified through fingerprints and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Once at the jail, a controlled substance was located in the suspect's possession. Green was arrested for Identity Theft, Resisting Arrest, Concealing a Controlled Substance into a County Jail, and Possession of Marijuana. Green was then placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges.
