It's that time again! Where did the summer go, anyway? Back to the college grind for students at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

For Freshman at UCM, or at any college/university, the new experience can you leave a person little perplexed. That's why UCM continues with an annual program that helps freshmen ease into campus life.

Last week the UCM Experience Kickoff activities began on Thursday, August 15 for more than 1,000 first-year students who were embarking on their college education. It ran through Sunday, August 18 under the direction of staff in various units served by the Office of Student Experience and Engagement.

The event was focused on helping freshmen to make a successful transition into college. Students who participated in the program learned more about the university, its traditions, culture, friendships, engaged learning and involvement, residence hall life, and many resources that will serve them throughout their university experience. UCM began the program four years ago.
