Columbia Man Killed in Boone County Accident

A Columbia man is dead following a September 13 motorcycle accident in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2006 Suzuki was travelling at a high rate of speed Route B just before 9 p.m. The driver reportedly lost control of the motorcycle and struck a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. 25-year-old David Auxier of Columbia was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 10:20 p.m.

The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado, 25-year-old Daysi Hawkins of Columbia, was not injured.
