In a letter to the University of Missouri Campus Community University of Missouri President and Interim Chancellor Dr. Mun Y. Choi announced that classes will start on time on Monday August 24.

Choi expressed his thanks to "the large team of people that have been working on detailed plans to make this a reality for our campus." He went on to say everyone spending time on campus should expect changes including personal health monitoring and social distancing.

Choi says, "We will be prepared and will have the flexibility to make any necessary changes as the situation evolves. This will require the cooperation of each of us to adhere to these new expectations for the health of our community."

Some of that flexibility includes being ready to move to remote or other forms of instruction should the coronavirus situation warrant changes in how the University keeps students, staff and faculty safe.

The Missouri Football team is also back on campus and holding voluntary workouts designed by strength and conditioning coach Zac Woodfin. This according to KOMU-TV.

Woodfin told the television station that "I do believe two months is enough time to have our team ready to win. We need to be very strategic in what we do and how we do it. If that’s the case, we need to make sure we follow the plan to a ‘T’ and we have excellent communication, where it was our athletic performance.”
