City of Sedalia Notes Road Resurfacing Project

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 9, and continuing through 5:30 p.m., South Grand Avenue from West Broadway Blvd. to W. 16th St. will be restricted to a single lane of traffic as the road’s surface is milled and new surfacing material is applied to the roadway, according to the City of Sedalia.

Those who routinely park on South Grand will need to ensure their vehicles are not parked on South Grand beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 9 and continuing until 5:30 p.m. as vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Workers and heavy equipment including dump trucks will be in this area as well as flaggers to direct travelers. Travelers are encouraged to use an alternate route on Nov. 9 to avoid the congestion in this heavy construction work zone.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the lane restrictions and closures may cause as they work to improve these areas.
