If you happen to be a professional athlete, you are probably very well paid.  It often allows you to use your wealth in many ways.  It is very nice when you see stories of star athletes using their wealth and fame to do good things and give back to their community.  The Kansas City Chiefs have an All-Pro defensive end named Frank Clark who did just that.

Normally he is more focused on opposing quarterbacks. This time, he was focused on helping families in Kansas City who may not have as much as him.  Now they have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Macedonia Baptist Church near East Linwood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Kansas City had many people lining up.  They were there because Frank Clark's Family Foundation were giving out turkeys to needy families for Thanksgiving.  They raise funds and promote initiatives to serve the people who need them most. They believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society.  The non-profits website link is HERE.

For Clark, this is a way to give back to the fans who support him, and his foundation apparently gave away about 500+ turkeys in a matter of hours. You can read a bit more about that HERE.

This isn't the first time Frank has given back to his community.  In August, his foundation was giving away school supplies and various back-to-school items.  You can check out that story HERE.  Frank didn't grow up in the best of situations, so to see him do this to help others is quite wonderful.  He helped out of lot of people, and ensured their Thanksgiving may be a little bit better.
