Retrieving Freedom, Inc.'s 5th Annual Wings for Wags presented by The Local Tap and Tyson Foods Inc., generated $32,000 on Saturday, Sept. 14

The 5th Street Improv will perform at the Hayden Liberty Center, 111 W, 5th Street, on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Cost is $12 and includes a gourmet spud with our choice of toppings, served with a homemade brownie.

Green Ridge Presbyterian Church will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25.

Georgetown United Methodist Church will hold a garage sale Saturday, Aug. 24.

The Hughesville Fire Department will hold their annual donation fish fry Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Knights of Columbus, 1708 Elm Hills Blvd., will serve their Family Night Buffet Wednesday, Aug. 7

The American Legion, Sons of the American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary at Green Ridge, Post 491, will serve biscuits and gravy Saturday, Aug. 10.

The event was held on Monday, July 22 at the Sedalia Country Club. The silent and live auctions combined to raise around $15,000.
