The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Carrollton woman died following an accident on Friday afternoon on US 24 in Carroll County.

32-year-old Hope Wilson was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am around 3:05 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The Grand Am slid into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2003 GMC Envoy. Wilson was pronounced dead by the Carroll County coroner around 4:15 p.m.

The driver of the GMC Envoy, 55-year-old Gabriel Zamarripa of Marshall, suffered moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.
