Kids, this weekend is a big deal for those of us in Pettis County.  The Pettis County Commission is going to encourage retail sales by offering a Sales Tax Holiday.

The tax holiday starts this Friday and continues to Sunday. The county will offer 1% and the state will have a 4.225% sales tax break, which offers the average consumer about will save about 5%.  Things like clothing, school supplies, computers, and other things like that are exempt from sales tax.

Back to school time is creeping up on us, and I wondered what you think about it. Are you going to save your back to school shopping for the tax holiday?  Are you going to to avoid it?  Does it help you to have this tax break, or does it not make a difference?

Let us know what you think in our poll, and we'll commiserate about it together. And, don't forget that you can always write in your own answer, or you can comment on what you think either here or on Facebook. We wanna know what you think!

Happy Shopping,
Behka
