Autopsy Indicates Single Victim In Human Remains Case
Pettis County
Sheriff’s Detectives continued the investigation on Wednesday (May 7) into human remains found in two locations at the Goodwill Chapel Trailer Park south of Sedalia, conducting follow-up interviews and processing evidence.
An autopsy was conducted on the remains earlier today by the Boone County Medical Examiners Office, and a forensic anthropologist was called in to complete further analysis.
Sheriff Kevin Bond reports that initial findings from the autopsy have confirmed the remains to be from a single body and that the victim is a white female.
Deputies were called to Lot 19 in the trailer park Sunday afternoon after workers discovered human remains outside the residence. While investigating the case later in the afternoon, a deputy canvassing the area located additional remains in a wooded area a short distance from the residence. As indicated above, both remains are from a single victim.
