On the morning of November 4th, Pettis County Deputies took a report of Driving While Suspended. James Baker was leaving the jail on a work release program, and two blocks from the jail switched to the driver's seat. Formal charges of Driving While Suspended are being filed with the prosecutor's office.


 

Deputies observed a male in the Kohl's parking lot, 4300 Wisconsin Boulevard, who had a warrant for his arrest Sunday evening. Deputies arrested Gary D. Spradley, of Sedalia, for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Defective Equipment.


 

Sunday afternoon, Deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the 200 block of West Tuck in Houstonia in reference to a report of child abuse. Upon arrival, two children were located at their residence, who had been slapped multiple times in the face, receiving injuries. An adult female in the residence was also assaulted after the incident. After a search of nearby properties, Michael J. Hertel was located and arrested for two counts of Abuse of a Child, one count of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree, and three outstanding Failure to Appear warrants. The FTA warrants were on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintain Financial Responsibility, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, and Operating a Utility Vehicle in a Careless Manner, Endangering Persons or Property. Hertel was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges.


 

Sunday afternoon, Deputies arrested Deyette Bragaw in the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane in reference to two active Failure to Appear warrants for her arrest on original charges of Failure to Yield to An Approaching Vehicle While Making A Left Turn and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility.


 

Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Montgomery and 10th Street in reference to a vehicle failing to maintain their right half of the roadway early Saturday morning. During the stop, the driver, who was identified as William Keith Davidson III, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.


 

On November 5th, Deputies took a report of a stolen green Moto Stylish cell phone located in the 1500 block of Crestview Drive.


 

Friday afternoon, Deputies arrested Christopher E. O'Dell of La Monte on an outstanding warrant out of La Monte for Obstructing Police/Resisting Arrest.


 

Friday morning, Deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of South Kentucky Avenue for a non injury motor vehicle accident report.
