Coming up this Sunday (June 10) is the MissouriWhitetails.com 3D archery shoot at the James A. Reed Wildlife Area near Lee's Summit.  This 3D shoot helps fund hunts for youth and adult hunters with disabilities that are organized throughout the year in the Kansas City Area.

Several of us are making the trip out there to support their cause, just as they have supported MO Kids Outdoors in Sedalia.  If you'd like to join us, we'll be meeting at the KIX 105.7 studios at 2209 South Limit Avenue at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.  Come join us for a day of family fun!

Last week, my family and I attended the First Annual Colten Powell Memorial Scholarship 3D shoot.  It was a great success, with over 130 shooters participating in the event.  There were shooters of all ages, from five-year-old newcomers to 70-year-old shooters.  The proceeds from the event went to the Colten Powell Scholarship Fund.

The State Fair Archery Club held their 3D shoot last weekend as well, with over 50 shooters participating.About 10-15 new shooters showed up for some fun, and they all plan on coming back. It was a really great experience.

There were five shoots within 50 miles of Sedalia all happening at the same time!  Lots of shooting last weekend made for a lot of fun.

Next week, be looking for my "Question of the Week" in my blog post.  Who knows, you might win something...

Remember, if your kids are in the woods or on the water, they're not in the streets!
