Accident Leads to Minor Injuries for Sedalia Driver

A 16-year-old from Sedalia suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Matthew P. Pierce was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang on Route U when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Mustang reportedly left the roadway, became airborne, and struck a group of trees.

Pierce was taken by Pettis County Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
