5 Things That I Think When Husbando Leaves Me On Read
I'm sure this is something that everyone does, not just Husbando, but still. I'm the kind of person who doesn't look at my cell phone 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but I have it with me most of the time. I mean, what's the point of having it if it's not there to reach you? What are you gonna do, start carrying around a pager again?
So, when I text Husbando something, I know he's got his phone either in his pocket or near him. Whether he chooses to respond to me, and in what kind of timely manner he chooses to, are separate things. To me, I try to text back as soon as possible. Not every text needs an immediate answer, but I try not to leave it longer than a half an hour if I can. That just seems like courtesy to me.
It's usually not a big deal, but when I'm at the grocery store and ask him what he needs me to pick up and he doesn't respond til I'm dang near ready to check out (or after I've already left because he took too long), it's annoying. I don't wanna be that person to leave the line and go get something, just tell me already! But what's worse is when I ask him something like that, and he just leaves me on read. No response. I'm assuming the worst on that one, kiddo. So here are a few things that run through my mind when he leaves me on read.
1. I guess you don't need anything?
2. Is the Xbox really that exciting?
3. Did a swarm of manatees come into the living room and kill him suddenly?
4. Did I really render you speechless with that text?
5. Oh come on, Husbando. You know that annoys the crap out of me. Why do you want to annoy me? Are you looking to fight with me?
Does anyone in your life do this to you? Do they do it regularly or just every now and then? What do you think when someone leaves you on read?
Textingly yours,
Behka
