I'm not a constitutional scholar.  I didn't attend an institution for higher learning.  I don't want to get into the debate of whether or not "Obamacare" is a good idea.  But I have been thinking about last week's Supreme Court decision.

I've taken this long to write about it so everyone can digest what happened.  The talking heads on TV and radio have had their say and everyone has calmed down just a little bit.  I'd like to understand one thing about this whole mess.

If  "Roe v. Wade" is about a person's right to choose what happens with their body, why then shouldn't everyone have a choice about whether or not their body is insured? It seems to me, according to SCOTUS, we have the absolute right to do what we deem fit when it comes to our bodies. Now we also are going to be forced to insure that body or face a penalty (or tax if you look at it from Judge Roberts' perspective).

It's just something that makes me go "Hmmm."
