UCM Update

Continuing its commitment to quality and affordability, the University of Central Missouri Board of Governors on Feb. 13 approved  a modest 0.8 percent academic fee increase, which is effective for the fall 2015 semester, and  significantly below UCM’s five-year average tuition increase. 

 Members of the University of Central Missouri community were saddened to learn this week that a member of the UCM family, Charles (Charlie) Powers, passed away at his home in Grain Valley. Charlie was employed full time by UCM from 1976 to 1997, and was an assistant supervisor in engineering, where he worked with audiovisual equipment.  He passed away on Feb. 15.

The Central Missouri Mules Basketball team is ranked third in the initial NCAA-II Central Region Rankings released on Wednesday afternoon.  The top eight teams in the final regional rankings released on Sunday, March 8 will qualify for the NCAA-II Central Regional tournament at a campus site to be determined.

The Central Missouri Jennies basketball team (16-8) is ranked ninth in the initial NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings

The Jennies and Mules host Southwest Baptist tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. It's Senior Day for UCM with the Mules seniors being honored at halftime of the Jennies game. The Jennies will tip off at 1:30 and Jennies seniors will be recognized before their game.
