Businesses, service providers and organizations that serve military personnel and veterans are invited to host information tables at the Veterans Resource Fair and Veterans Summit Friday, Oct. 9 at the University of Central Missouri. Both of these events are free and open to the public. The Veterans Resource Fair takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the Veterans Summit, which is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to noon in Elliott Student Union 240. The deadline for vendor registration is Sept. 18.

Vendors wanting to participate in the Summit should register online by Sept. 18 at ucmo.edu/vets/specialevents.cfm.  For more information, contact Delilah Nichols at 660-543-8977.

The Jennies Soccer team fell one spot to No. 8 in the first regular  The Jens are coming off of a successful weekend in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where the team won both of their games including a 6-0 shutout over Minnesota-Duluth and a 2-1 victory over Augustana College.

Coming off their 18-17 season-opening win over Missouri Western, the Mules Football moved up one spot to No. 19 in the latest D2Football.com poll released on Tuesday morning.  The Mules return to action tonight at Emporia State. Kickoff is set for 7:07 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on the MIAA Television Network.  The Mules are looking for their first 2-0 start since the 2009 season.  This is the Mules' first trip to Emporia since 2011.

Central Missouri volleyball opened their season 5-0, going undefeated at the Peggy Martin Challenge. Thanks to their hot start, UCM moved up six spots to No. 7 in this week's AVCA coaches poll.  It is their highest ranking since they were ranked fifth last year, also heading into the Colorado Premier Challenge.
