The State Fair Community College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program has received a $10,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to promote community-wide literacy through technology.

According to the SFCC Athletic Department, former Men's Basketball Head Coach Bill Barton has been elected to the Region 16 Hall of Fame. During his tenure at SFCC, Barton recorded over 600 wins as head coach. Barton is no stranger halls of fame. He is in the SFCC Hall of Fame, The Missouri State Sports Hall of Fame and the National Junior College Hall of Fame, and in my opinion, he belongs in even more.
April 17, 2013 Today was a historic day for the State Fair Community College Athletics Program as Sophomore Guard Kenny Chery officially signed his letter of intent to play at Baylor. In this past season, Chery was the Roadrunners' leading scorer, averaging 16.4 points and five rebounds per game and 105 assists for the season. Cherry also led the team in steals with 48.
State Fair Community College has hired Dr. Joanna Anderson as the fifth president in its 45-year history.
