It's not over yet, Mother Nature! When the annual Sedalia Christmas parade was cancelled due to inclement weather not once, not twice, but THREE times earlier this month, many thought for sure that the elements had won, and sadly, there would be no parade this year. Well, turns out that's not the case!
Taylor Swift fans are used to seeing the stunning singer show up to red carpet events in gorgeous, priceless couture gowns or looking decidedly retro yet equally fashionable in some of her videos. She always looks beautiful. But even with an enviable closet such as hers, Swift isn't above rocking a pair of matching, flannel Christmas PJs with her baby brother Austin.
Now that your Christmas is over, you've got a little something to deal with, don't you: that tree! The Missouri Department of Conservation is working with the Central Missouri Electric Cooperative and the City of Sedalia to help you recycle your Christmas tree.
I don't know about you guys, but for me, Christmas means family and parties. Well, not all ragers, don't get me wrong. But getting together with some folks, eatin' some food, and tellin' tales of the old days.
Christmas is here! Well, technically we have about a day and a half to spare. I really don't feel like it's that time of year. I'm not blaming anyone in particular, but I just don't have the Christmas spirit.
The holidays are a time of giving, and Taylor Swift didn't forget that. Neither did the 10,000 people who came together to sing Christmas carols for Laney Brown, an 8-year-old little girl who is dying of Leukemia.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is going to see the Christmas lights that people display, whether it be the Holiday Express or going door to door. I love seeing how people are so creative. One display that I have seen year after year as it is in my old stomping grounds outside of Knob Noster in Country Acres. This home lighting display is put on by David and Donna Grygierczyk. You can see their lighting display as you go north on FF and make a left just before the train tracks at 1290 NE 140. You will be amazed by the hard work they have done to do this year after year.
