The summer is over and September is upon us. The result? One of the most boring weekend box office reports in months. Months! The month or so following the end of the summer movie season is traditionally one of the worst of the year, the time when Hollywood unleashes all of the films that they have little faith in, a buffer between the blockbuster months and the award season months. Families can save money by purchasing tickets in advance for Missouri State Fair gate admission and carnival rides.  A new $45 jumbo pass is being offered for the first time, which is a $132 value.  This new ticket provides an individual with a wristband that is valid for four consecutive days of gate admission and unlimited carnival rides, Aug. 12-15.  Both the new jumbo pass and a single day car

The State Fair Box Office opens at noon today (June 24) and has tickets available for purchase to all the 2013 Fair concerts and events. The Box Office is open noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and will expand its hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily during the Fair.  The Box Office, located on the fairgrounds in Sedalia, also has Governor’s Ham Breakfast tickets available for $25 each.
