Again, here we are talking about the best of the best, but this time the "experts" got it right. If you are ever in Kansas City and you are looking for the best BBQ in the city you have to check out Arthur Bryants. It truly is the best of the best, and the fine folks at Love Food just named the restaurant the Most Historic in the state.

When it comes to BBQ, it doesn’t get more legendary than Arthur Bryant’s. Presidents ranging from Harry Truman to Barack Obama have eaten at this restaurant, which features recipes from the 'King of Ribs' himself.

How Did the Experts Pick The Most Historic Restaurant?

There are a few historical places in our area that should be considered. Mark Twain Dinette, Primos (who has the only working side fountain in the state), and Beck Thacters Diner. So how did they come up with Arthur Bryant's? They looked at which restaurants not only have been around for some time but have survived the weather, economy throughout the year, price increases, and yet they are still standing.

Everything you get at Arthur Bryant's is tasty and you leave overstuffed but yet wanting more. When you visit the location at 18th & Brooklyn you can see how it all started in big five-gallon glass jars, used to make the famous Arthur Bryant sauce, which can still be seen displayed in the restaurant's window.
