Michigan Beats Syracuse, 61-56 — 2013 NCAA Final Four Scores
Michigan held off Syracuse in Atlanta on Saturday and advanced to Monday’s national championship game where they will face Louisville.

Mitch McGary had 10 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, as Michigan beat Syracuse, 61-56, in the second game of the Final Four of the 2013 NCAA tournament in Atlanta on Saturday. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 13 points and Glenn Robinson III scored 10 for the Wolverines, who advanced to play Louisville for the national championship on Monday night.
Despite shooting under 40 percent for the game, Michigan was not overwhelmed by the Syracuse 2-3 zone. The Wolverines led by nine at halftime and had the game in hand until late. Though the Orange narrowed the deficit to 57-56 with under a minute to play, Brandon Triche was whistled for a charge and Michigan held on for the victory.
Syracuse’s C.J. Fair led all scorers with 22 points. The Orange shot just 21 percent from behind the 3-point line and 42 percent overall.
