I've been on Earth for a few years now and have been eating fresh produce for a good many of them.  I went to the grocery store and bought fresh corn on the cob for dinner last Saturday night.  I got home, lit the grill and went in to prepare what would normally be a golden roasted treat.  As I shucked the the ears, I was shocked. I had honestly not seen corn have a maroon hue before, unless it is being used as a Fall decoration.  After some people assured me that this wasn't unheard of, I went ahead and cooked it in my usual method.

It did have a different taste, but wasn't bad, and nobody died.    It did throw me through a little bit of a loop though. Add it to the list of interesting culinary experiences.
