Early Friday morning at 12:42 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to Casey's, 716 W. 16th Street, in reference to a suicidal subject.

During an investigation, a subject began interfering with the investigation and was failing to obey lawful orders given by officers. The subject was then arrested and he began resisting officers.

During the struggle, the suspect began kicking and striking an officer, causing minor injuries. The suspect was searched and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances.

32-year-old Jon Alexander Zaremba, homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges for 3rd degree assault, resisting arrest, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and 4th degree domestic assault.
