Doug and I were talking about some older country music today and he brought up a female artist from the early 2000's that had a couple of hits and then disappeared.   We did a lot of searching online and finally...finally came up with a hit!

Her name is Julie Roberts.  "Break Down Here" was her her first hit.  The song debuted in February 2004 and peaked at number 18 on the country music charts.  She reappeared earlier this year.   No one was more surprised than Blake Shelton when the fellow country singer auditioned for The Voice in March.  However, none of the four judges chose to turn around for her performance of Blake's hit single “God Gave Me You,” meaning she had not been chosen for the show. When Blake finally saw Julie, he was visibly upset and announced to his fellow judges, “I know her . . . and she sang my song,” before apologizing for not choosing her.

If you'd like to find out more on her appearance, go to YouTube and search for The Voice/Julie Roberts or keep up with her and her music by going to JulieRoberts.com.
