3 weeks ago Yesterday (May 29), the Sedalia Police Department STING Unit and other officers served a search warrant at 2123 West Main. Upon arrival, the residence was secured as well as the occupant. During the search, police found marijuana, drug packaging supplies, digital scale, prescription pills and $1309 in cash.
At 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening (May 29), the Sedalia Parks Department dedicated two T-Ball Fields at Katy Park. The fields are the Lonnie E. Schott Memorial Field and the Bill G. Arnold Memorial Field.

This year I made the decision to grow a beard during the playoffs, similar to when players in the NHL grow one until they lose in their round. The Xceligent office in Sedalia is taking donations for Relief efforts in Moore, Okla. The business has two enclosed trailers that they are trying to fill. Xceligent is compiling a team from their Sedalia office and Lee's Summit office to travel to Moore to distribute the items and assist with clean-up efforts.
3 weeks ago Kids, this weekend I got to head out to the Sedalia DQ Grill & Chill. Now, normally I would be there to stuff my face, but this time I was there for a more important calling.
Jorge and the crew at DQ were hosting the folks and vehicles for the upcoming Midwest Dragfest. This is going to be a huge event coming up on June 1 and 2 on the Fairgrounds. And, the best part is, they're going to be doing this for charity. They're going to be raising money for the Children's Therapy Center and the Sedalia Food Bank. I think everybody can agree those are great causes to support, and if you can do it in a fun way, even better!
4 weeks ago Kids, I got to kick off Memorial Day weekend just right with a live broadcast out at America's Car-Mart. They had the grill fired up and ready before I even got there, cooking up burgers, brats, and hot dogs. We gave away shirts and tickets and had a grand ol' time while keeping people abreast of the latest deals. Check out some pictures I took! You'll notice one specific visitor, Winston the Pit Pup. His family came out to Car-Mart just to say hello, and get some grub before the weekend started.
