October 8, 2012 Kids, this past weekend I got to go to a rare Sunday live broadcast. It was in the parking lot of Big Lots, and it was for the Pettis County Community Partnership. They were accepting donations for their storage sheds. Apparently they had two whole sheds that they needed to fill with household goods and such to give to the needy of Pettis County.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and a pink spotlight is shining on this cause by multiple arms of the entertainment industry. Country quartet Lonestar are doing their part to raise funds and awareness. The band are helping to corral $50,000 for benefit breast cancer research by doing what they do best -- perform.

September 28, 2012 Cliff Knickmeyer is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and currently a LaMonte police officer. During a pursuit of a suspect, he noticed something wrong with his toe. He assumed that it was injured in the chase. When it didn't heal for a week, he visited his physician and found out blood clots in his leg were to blame and he would require surgery.

The wagon was passing though Sedalia on a journey across the country known as the Freedom Trail Ride, honoring the fallen members of the military and supporting children with disabilities.
