As some of you may know, I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis since about 2004. It's a neurological disease that manifests itself in many different ways, and each person's symptoms are unique.
So I was looking over some stuff on the internet the other day for the big holiday, Mother's Day. I saw a bunch of different videos of Moms who were talking about the day, their kids, and how they hoped the kids would live their lives.
May is National Military Appreciation Month. Although a lot of us in the area definitely appreciate our veterans and soliders serving every day, you don't always get the chance to show it. And it's one thing to say you appreciate veterans - it's another to show it.
The annual Kickin' It For a Cure soccer game will be held at the Susie Ditzfeld Soccer Field tonight (May 8) between the Smith-Cotton Tigers and Warrensburg Tigers. This annual game has been played in years past to raise awareness for breast cancer. This year, the benefits of the game will be going to Bothwell Regional Health Center for the cancer services they provide.
You and I both know that in our day to day lives here in Mid-Missouri, driving is pretty much required. You can't get around too far without some kind of vehicle. I still remember the smell of the books in our local libraries and the excitement when I'd find a book I'd never read before. As I got older, I got into owning my own books. I took a small little sense of pride in knowing that these books were all a part of my history and education.

'Daddy’s Dyin’ Who’s Got The Will?' is the season closer at the historic Lona Theatre operated by the Liberty Center Association for the Arts.
