Thanks for checking out our our website and seeing what we're up to.  Radio has come a long way in the 13 years I've worked for this station, and be on the lookout for some new additions in the future. What those are I can't say, but make sure to tune in and check things out.

On The Road With Doug: Visiting Hermann, Missouri

My wife and I decided to go on the road to Hermann, Mo. It is probably known as the wine capital of Missouri and has some of the best German food and heritage around. Rather than planning things out, we just went with the flow. Sometimes the best laid plans are the ones not planned at all.

Our Listeners Love Reality TV in the Summer

Recently, I asked what are you watching on television this summer. It seems the major networks have issued more first run shows this summer than in a long time. Most the shows are reality in nature, but nothing appears to be stopping CBS with 'Under the Dome,' which has had over 11 million viewers according to Nielson. That is definitely the show that I'm watching, and not missing an episode of on Monday nights at 9 p.m.

On the Road With Doug: Heading to Peach Wave in Pursuit of Yogurt

My wife was recently craving going to a yogurt shop and making her own bowl. We have tons of ice cream and custard places in the area, but she was really looking for just yogurt. This weekend after the Wiener Dog Races, we decided to head towards Kansas City. After a long day of shopping and walking we decided to find a yogurt place.

We punched in the GPS and found a place called Peach Wave. So we drove towards it on State Line Road. I have to admit, I didn't know much about the place, but sometimes, adventure is the spice of life.

On The Road With Doug: Wiener Dog Races in Clinton

It's time for another On the Road With Doug. When my wife, Diana, and I first started dating, she made it perfectly clear when I dated her, got engaged to her and married her that there would always be a dachshund in the house. Ever since we've had our home, we have had one, so I'm good there. One year I discovered an event at the Woodlands called the Wiener Dog Races. Unfortunately, the Woodlands closed, but Olde Glory Days in Clinton picked up the event and has been running it for eight years straight. This year's event was sponsored by American Family Insurance. Diana and I ventured to Clinton on Saturday afternoon (June 29) and settled in for the races. We were amazed that the stands were packed on the main side and there appeared to be about 20-30 dogs entered into the event.

What Are You Watching on TV this Summer? [SURVEY]

There are many things that I love about summer: baseball, barbeque, swimming and a few other things. However, one thing that annoys me is television. It used to be that summer television was a time to watch shows in rerun state and catch up with shows that maybe you missed an episode or two
