On Monday, July 26 at 4:53 a.m., the Pettis County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls concerning a wrong-way driver on Highway 65 who was northbound in the southbound lanes.

Pettis County Deputies, along with the K9 Unit, responded to the area to locate the driver.

Deputies were able to stop the vehicle before a serious accident happened.

The driver, who was identified as Ismar Duenas of Marshall, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, driving while intoxicated and was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from Homeland Security.

Duenas was transported to the Pettis County Jail.
