Winter Sports Schedule Changes For Smith-Cotton High School
According to Rob Davis, Activities Director for Smith-Cotton High School, there are some changes for the up-coming winter sports schedules. According to Davis:
"It could be an interesting winter for schedule changes. There will be more as we proceed into our seasons. I appreciate everyone's understanding and adaptability."
The changes include the following:
Boys Basketball
W-K Shootout cancelled on 12/19
V/JV with Battle now a home game on 12/7
Girls Basketball
W-K Shootout cancelled on 12/19
8th grade Basketball
Cancelled Boys and Girls with Thomas Jefferson on 12/8
No longer attending Warsaw Tournament 11/16-11/19
Cancelled Boys and Girls with Warsaw on 12/17
"A" Game only with Jefferson Girls on 11/12
Added Girls game at Oakland to 12/16
Added Boys hosting Oakland on 12/16
Added Boys and Girls "A" hosting Versailles on 11/9
7th grade Basketball
Cancelled Boys and Girls with Warsaw on 12/17
Cancelled Girls with Jefferson on 11/11
Cancelled Girls with West on 12/2
"A" Game only with Smithton Girls on 12/12
7th Boys with West on 12/2 is now AT West
7th Girls at Lewis and Clark originally 11/23 moved to 11/12 (Boys still 11/23)
Added 7th Boys and Girls "A" Games with Versailles at Versailles on 12/10
Boys Wrestling
Tri with Camdenton and West Plains moved from 12/3 to 12/1 - Still in Camdenton
12/5 Tournament at Parkway South replaced with 12/5 Tournament at Grain Valley
Girls Wrestling
Tri with Camdenton and West Plains moved from 12/3 to 12/1 - Still in Camdenton
12/4 Tournament at Parkway South replaced with 12/4 Tournament at Lone Jack
Girls at Excelsior Springs Tournament on 12/11 is now a Varsity Tournament
Versailles Girls Division of Wrestling Tournament on 12/12 postponed to a date in January TBD
The Wonder Woman Tournament on 12/29-12/30 is cancelled
Added a Girls Tournament on 1/8 at Capital City
1/28 at Helias is boys only. No Girls at Helias
Girls Swimming
Springfield Relays on 12/3 are cancelled
Parkview Invitational on 12/5 is cancelled
