Whataburger Will Only Be An Hour Away from Sedalia
Whataburger announced the location of their first four Kansas City area stores. And the goodness of their Texas sized burgers will only be a little over an hour ride from Sedalia, or about 40 minutes from Warrensburg according to Google Maps.
Whataburger's first four Kansas City area stores will be located at:
1450 Douglas Street in Lee's Summit 64086, 18811 E US 40 Highway in Independence 65055, 905 Hwy 7 in Blue Springs 64014 and one in Overland Park, Kansas at 8420 W. 135th Street.
The Lee's Summit restaurant will probably be the easiest one for most of us to reach, it's a fairly straight shot on Highway 50 towards Kansas City. For those who know Lee's Summit it's on NE Douglass just off the campus of St. Luke's East Hospital.
The Blue Springs location on Hwy 7 is a little further, however, it might be the easier one if you're close to I-70 since it looks like it's a few blocks off of the Interstate.
KSHB TV is reporting that a company spokesperson told the television station that the likely location to first open would be either the Lee's Summit or Independence store since they have the first construction dates.
Along with Whataburger's four restaurants will come 700 jobs including the position of Operating Partner, which pays on average six figures, and restaurant manager positions which pay up to $55,000 according to the restaurant. Those interested in applying for a position at one of the new restaurants can apply here.
Honestly, I'm tired of talking about Whataburger. I'm tired of writing about Whataburger. I want a Whataburger. And the Dr. Pepper shake that's on the menu right now.
So where's the closest Whataburger right now? The closest is only 230 miles and 4 hours away in Rogers, Arkansas. Right of Interstate 49. In fact while there you can visit the Daisy Airgun Museum or visit the War Eagle Cavern.
