Many businesses have come and gone through the years in Sedalia. Here's a few that you may or may not remember that were on Broadway.

I moved to Sedalia in 1977 to start working at KSIS AM & FM in Sedalia on north 65 highway. (That's another story for an other time) Since that time many changes have taken place on Highway 50 in Sedalia. For those of you that have lived here before '77, I'm sure you have some great memories of your own..

Here a re a few of the stores/restaurants that I remember-

-Starting off on east Broadway it would have to be Kim Originals. It's now a church.

-Moving towards the downtown area, my next stop would be Taco Grande. the best late night tacos, ever! You could get your fill for a couple of bucks. It's now a used car lot.

-Across Broadway and about a block up was Sutherlands. That store was relocated to south 65 highway. The lot is presently empty.

-At the corner of Broadway and Ohio, you've bought doughnuts, and most likely one time or another rented video's from Scotten's Video. It's now a Subway restaurant.

-Of course who could forget Bill Greer Motors. If you'll look in the picture below you'll see an auto dealership on the right hand side. The building is now partially occupied by Mark's Mobile Glass.

Those are just a few of the many businesses that have graced Broadway. What do you remember?
