Watch Spectacular Meteor Explode Over Albany, Missouri Tuesday
If you happen to have been looking at the sky over Missouri in the northern part of the state Tuesday night, you might have caught glimpse of a brilliant sky sight as a huge meteor exploded as shown by a camera in Missouri.
Missouri Skies just shared this video on their Facebook page tonight from Albany, Missouri. According to their description, this bright fireball was spotted at approximately 6:57 pm.
Based on the American Meteor Society website, this meteor was traveling from the northeast to the southwest and was viewed by residents as far north as Minnesota along with numerous locations in Nebraska and the Kansas City, Missouri area.
Considering how bright this meteor was, I would not be surprised if even more videos and photos emerged of this spectacular sky sight over Missouri and Nebraska Tuesday night, November 21, 2023. I'll add more to this article as soon as they are shared.
UPDATE: Here's new video captured from Omaha, Nebraska.
