Sedalia Mayor Andrew Dawson took to Facebook earlier this afternoon to give residents an update on some of the broken water mains that have made this cold snap harder for some residents, as well as those tasked with fixing the problems.

According to Mayor Dawson, the water main breaks on North Ohio Street have been successfully repaired, and water department teams have worked to restore service in these areas.

The City is now addressing a water break on West Main. Crews are on-site and are trying to resolve the problem as quickly as they can. Additionally, Mayor Dawson says the City is striving to minimize service disruptions and hopes to restore full water service swiftly.

Finally, Mayor Dawson extends a special thank you to water department employees. He writes, "Their tireless efforts in braving the cold and challenging conditions to repair these breaks demonstrate exceptional dedication to our community."

Finally, Mayor Dawson promises to keep residents informed on the progress of essential repairs and let residents know he greatly appreciates their patience and support as they work to repair these water breaks at a most challenging time.

If you notice an issue that the City of Sedalia needs to fix, you can report it on the City of Sedalia's website here. Additionally, you can also contact the city through this webpage, as well as sign up for notifications including City notices, news, events, and more.
