Films from around the world will be featured at the 5th Annual Show Me Justice Film Festival April 9-10 at the University of Central Missouri.

Films selected for the festival come from Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Italy, Kenya, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and address issues ranging from gender and sexuality to race relations and civil disobedience in Ferguson, Mo. Presented in documentary, narrative, animated and experimental formats, the two-day program of films is open to the public.  The festival opens with a program of short films from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday in Hendricks Hall. On Thursday evening, the festival continues at 7 p.m. in Hendricks Hall.

Jeff Murphy, assistant director of University Relations for media relations at the University of Central Missouri, was named the 2015 recipient of the J. P. Mees Outstanding Professional Staff Award during the annual Professional Staff breakfast April 6 in the Elliott Student Union.

The Mules golf team shot rounds of 288 and 289 on the first day of the Dallas Baptist Patriot Classic and sit in second place heading in to today's final round at Hackberry Creek Country Club. The Mules are five shots back of tournament-leading Cameron University.

After sweeping No. 9 Emporia State Saturday, the task doesn't get much easier for the Jennies Softball team as they take on No. 14 Missouri Western today in their first of six straight road doubleheaders.

Junior Heavin Warner won three events Saturday at the Emporia State Relays and earned another win Monday afternoon. The MIAA named Warner the Field Athlete of the Week for her performance over the week.

The Central Missouri Mules begin a seven-game road trip with a non-conference doubleheader at Drury College today.  First pitch in the doubleheader is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Meador Park in Springfield.
