The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a one-vehicle accident in Saline County injured three residents of Slater.

The accident happened at 1:10 p.m. on January 7 on Route D at Route P. A 2010 Dodge was eastbound on Route P when it reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign, began skidding, traveled across Route D and struck an embankment.

The driver, 54-year-old Theresa Robbins, and a passenger, 51-year-old Avonna Widner, were taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by EMS for the treatment of minor to moderate injuries. Another occupant in the vehicle, 18-year-old Thomas Widner, also suffered minor injuries in the accident, but refused medical treatment at the scene.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
