Three Huge Concerts Playing Arrowhead Stadium This Summer
You might not be all that excited about the latest performer Arrowhead Events has booked into the home of the Chiefs for a summer concert, but your kids or grandkids might love it.
The special events arm of the Kansas City Chiefs announced that Taylor Swift will be playing at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, July 8, 2023. It's the third time Swift will be performing at the venue. She previously played Arrowhead as part of her Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018 and the Speak Now World Tour in 2011.
Swift, is arguably the biggest performer set to play Arrowhead in 2023, right on the heels of her latest album release "Midnights". Which by the way, is one of the best album packages I've seen in years and a strong album of Swift's brand of pop music. But I digress.
She joins another pop superstar already booked to play Arrowhead this summer, Ed Sheeran. Sheeran is bringing his Mathematics Tour to the stadium on Saturday, August 5, 2023, as part of a 21-stop North American Tour. Sheeran, one of the best-selling current singer-songwriters burst onto the scene a decade ago with his massive chart-topper "The A Team" and hasn't stopped since. His ÷ Tour became the highest-grossing of all time in August of 2019.
While Swift and Sheeran may not be your cup of tea, there's a good chance the younger folks in your family might eat up an opportunity to see either of these artists perform.
The third performer scheduled to play Arrowhead this summer is country music superstar Luke Combs. Combs is scheduled to play Arrowhead on Saturday, June 10, 2023, and it marks his first show at the iconic football stadium. Arrowhead Events President Mark Donovan was quoted in a press release as saying, "Luke Combs is one of country music's premier talents, having exploded on the scene and grown in popularity over the past half-dozen years."
Tickets for Luke Combs and Ed Sheeran are already on sale through Ticketmaster, and there are no walk-up ticket sales at Arrowhead in advance of the show. Taylor Swift tickets will be sold starting November 15, however, they're asking fans who want to see the show to pre-register with Ticketmaster through their fan-verified program prior to Wednesday, November 9, 2022, here. Information on tickets for all three shows can also be found on the Chiefs website.
