The Katy Depot is one of those local places that is rich in Sedalia History.  It's come a long way since when I was a kid, and it was a sad state of disrepair. Now, it's a thriving, educational hub where history comes to life in modern times.

The Katy Depot is doing a displaying a lot of information from the Civil War and how it impacted people in Sedalia and Pettis County. They also have some great exhibits about trains and toy trains, and lots of great stuff for kids to see, do and learn.  I talked with Kathleen Boswell about all the events going on and the different exhibits they've got to offer with lots of interesting, free local content.

You can find out more about hours, exhibits and other great stuff at their website, or you can call them at 660-826-2932. They're also on Facebook for other updates!

Historically yours,
Behka
