The Heat Is On

Temperatures will climb into the mid 90's today, but the heat index should remain
below 100°, but Tuesday through the end of the week is another thing.
An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Saturday evening.

Expect highs in the mid to upper 90's and a few 100°F highs after Thursday with heat
index values to returning to above 100° by Tuesday & persisting between 105°-110°
through the rest of the week into Saturday. As a result, an Excessive Heat Watch has
been issued for most of the forecast area but any Excessive Heat Advisory or
Warning issued may alter the timeframe and counties affected as we get closer to the
heat event if criteria is met.

There does not look to be any strong indications for any significant precipitation this
week with the first chance being this coming weekend.
