I've heard the stories.  I'm sure you've heard some of them, too.

But the famous Ozark Music Festival happened before I was born.  It happened in 1976, and I didn't make it into the world until 1979.  I heard a few stories from my Dad, my Mom, and my Grandmother. But you know how it is, you might be getting the right story, or you might be getting a biased story (love my Grandma, but... she was biased, definitely, ha).  So what are the facts? What really happened at the Ozark Music Festival? How did it happen?  What was done to deal with it? What were the after affects?

Well, this weekend, it's all coming out with a documentary from Dustbin Films.  Here's the trailer.

It's going to be shown here in town this weekend.  It'll be at the Hayden Liberty Center, from the 16th through the 19th.

Tickets now on sale for the Sedalia showings of the documentary The Story Of The Ozark Music Festival (3 Days Of Sodom & Gomorrah In Sedalia Missouri). July 16-19. $20.00 each. For orders call 816-808-1266. Tickets available at Backwoods Guitar in Sedalia April 24th.

It doesn't say what time, both the LC and Backwoods were closed when I wrote this. But I later found out it's 7:00 p.m., at least on the poster for the film.  I don't know if the center will do a matinee as well, you might ask when you buy your tickets.

So, do you want to relive it and get answers, or are you ready to forget it?  Were you able to remember anything?  Or, if you're like me, what did you hear from the adults in your life about it?

Ozarkily yours,
Behka
