The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to put into service the temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Route 65 and Rebar near Nucor Steel April 6.

Work will continue on the temporary signals at US 65 and Routes H and HH, which will be in service in six to eight weeks. There will be temporary lane closures throughout the process. All work is weather dependent.

As part of the signal installation, MoDOT will reduce the speed limit to 55 miles per hour from Route HH south into Sedalia.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
