Tattoos for a Cure will be a 24-hour event at Addictive Ink in Sedalia.  It's a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life.  They do a little ribbon tattoo on you for $25, and that money goes to those charities.   They're going to be doing it for 24 hours, too. It's this weekend,  Saturday, June 23 for 24 hours.  You can stop by their shop at 2700 West Broadway and check it out.

Now, while this is a great cause, I have always been a huge wuss when it comes to anything involving some kind of pain.   Friends and family of mine have taken that plunge, willingly, sometimes several times, and that's great.  But I can't think of something that I'd want on my body for the rest of my life, firstly, and secondly, did I mention the wuss thing?  Cos I'm a wuss.  Majorly.  A big ol' cowardly wuss.

My ears are pierced, and that's it.  I tried to get a different piercing for my  mouth or whatever, but that came out in less than two weeks.  There was no way around it.

My friend Jim got a big, pretty one on his arm, and I was there for some of that.

I think that was the last straw for me.  Although he was just fine, and I kept him company and that was fine, I just knew I could never do it.  The wuss factor is just too large!

So, don't be a wuss like me.  If you're able to, take advantage of something like this to show your support for the ACS and the Relay.  You can have something permanent to show for it.

There will be 10 tattoos to choose from different cancer ribbons of any color you choose!  All tattoos will be $25, and all proceeds go to Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.  Now, to note, this is definitely first come first serve!  Lines may get long, so no appointments are allowed.  So make your own decision, and tell yourself, I CAN DO THIS.  Kick some hinder, and stop on by!   I'll be living vicariously through all of you.

Wussily yours,

Behka
