Pepsi Grandstand

Beatlemania is a term that originated during the 1960s to describe the intense fan frenzy directed toward British rock band The Beatles during the early years of their success. The word is similar to the much earlier term Lisztomania, used to describe fan reaction to the concerts of pianist Franz Liszt.

One of the things that makes a huge difference during our Missouri State Fair fun is the weather. Of course in the summertime we expect a little heat, a little humidity, and that's fine. We're tough, we can take it.

As I'm sure you know, the Missouri State Fair is here!  While we all know about the food, the rides, the agriculture, and all the other fun - the music is a huge part of it.

The Missouri State Fair will once again host outstanding entertainment in the Pepsi Grandstand, Director of Agriculture Richard Fordyce announced today in conjunction with Fair Director Mark Wolfe. For the 112th Fair, the Pepsi Grandstand will feature eight music shows and three motorsports events. The concerts include performances by Jake Owen, Sara Evans, Joan Jett and MercyMe.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Gov. Jay Nixon today announced the first of the acts coming to Sedalia for the 2014 Missouri State Fair in August. The award-winning country music duo Florida Georgia Line will play in the Pepsi Grandstand with Colt Ford the evening of Aug. 13. This year marks the 112th Missouri State Fair.

The 2013 Missouri State Fair has come and gone. The fair had lots of entertainment through the Fairgrounds, and the Pepsi Grandstand was full of talent and eclectic in nature this year. There was country, rock, truck and tractor pulls and alternative rock.
