Memories

There are moments in life where you have to show your talent.

It's Father's Day this weekend, and so I thought I'd share a little bit of what makes a father great, by talking a little about my Dad.

I've been here  a long time, about twelve years or so.  But do you remember some of the others who have been here before?

I asked you guys the other day what you remembered about the tornado that hit our area on May 4, 1977.  It took a few days, but there have been a lot of very interesting, very scary stories that came straight from you.

I was thinking a lot about some of my experiences growing up in Sedalia since I told you the story about my 4 year old self getting the cops called on me.

You guys, you know I try to get into sports all the time.  It seems like every year I try to make some kind of resolution that THIS year is going to be the year I'm gonna start caring about sports.  Part of that is because of my Mom.

Father's Day is approaching this weekend. It got me to thinking about all the times we've had with our Dads over the years. I know I've had lots of great afternoons just sitting and joking about stuff on the TV. When I was a kid, sometimes he'd take us out on his dune buggy or on the back of his motorcycle...

George Jones' death has sent millions of country music fans searching through old photographs and memories to revisit a time when they fell under the spell of the Possum.

One of my favorite holidays of the year is Easter. It brings back a lot of great memories. Being an Air Force Brat, I can recall doing a few Easter Egg hunts with the youth center or a few squadron parties or even at the base church. I also have the great memories of waking up on Easter Morning and seeing the eggs hidden around the house or in the backyard if the weather was good.

It seems a lot of people are feeling nostalgic today.  Going from their posts on Facebook and Twitter.  So it is with that in mind that  I ask you to complete this sentence. "Remember how......"
