Lee Greenwood is perhaps best known for his powerful song 'God Bless the USA,' but when he penned the lyrics in the back of his tour bus in 1983, he likely had no idea that they would become a mantra sung at sports events and patriotic celebrations across the nation for decades to come.
The Olde Glory Days are back in Clinton this week, a week ahead of the 4th of July schedule in order to book Lee Greenwood, the country music artist known for "God Bless the U.S.A." They’ve got plenty of entertainment June 27-30. This year's theme is "Proud To Be An American." There will be a carnival each day of the event around the square in Clinton.
